Welcome to Trinity Presbyterian Church! If you are like most of the parents in our congregation, one reason you come to church is for the benefit of your children. It is helpful to get kids into the practice of going to church when they are as young as possible. When you develop that habit early, it trains their hearts and minds and becomes something that stays with them as they grow older. We know how challenging it can be to get everyone up and ready on Sunday mornings. At Trinity we are doing all that we can to make it easy for your family once you arrive on the church campus.
Sunday Mornings
As you enter the sanctuary, pick up a canvas children’s bag with activity sheets, crayons and a note to parents. We offer a special Children’s Worship time for age 3 through 1st grade during both the 9am and 11am services. Youngsters come to the sanctuary with their family. Following the children’s message with the pastor or our Director of Children's Ministries, they go to their own worship room for an age-appropriate lesson. Sunday School is in Founders’ Hall at 10am. Kids learn traditional Bible stories through crafts, song, movement, drama and more.
Mid-Week Opportunities
Kids for Christ (KfC) is for children age 5 through 5th grade. Meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm during the school year, kids share the fun of games, crafts, singing and a lesson based upon Bible themes. This is a social time for children in a supervised and caring environment.
We have summer KfC Wednesdays from 9am to noon for children who are age 3 to 11+. Registration is going on now! Cost is $5 per child per session, or $25 if you register and pay in advance for all six weeks. Scholarships are available. Class size is limited to 30 children. Registration forms are available at this link. Our summer schedule is as follows:

What About the Little Ones?
When your infant is very young, you may feel most comfortable bringing him/her with you to worship. If you have an infant who gets hungry or “vocal” during worship, you can use our Family Comfort Room in the back of the sanctuary. There are rocking chairs and a changing table, and the service is piped right into the room so you don’t miss a thing.
Once he/she starts moving around, it may be more convenient for you to take advantage of our nursery. That way you can focus on the service and your toddler is more comfortable as well. Children ages six weeks through three-years-old are welcome in our staffed nursery. Parents also volunteer in the child care room to be an extra set of helping hands. Contact our Nursery Supervisor, Lorraine Haan, for more information.
What Else is Going On For Kids?
Our Children’s Ministry is training our kids’ hearts and minds year-round. In addition to mid-week lessons, Sunday worship and Sunday School, we have several special events during the year.
Each spring kids of all ages enjoy food, games, and an egg hunt at our annual Easter Celebration. After finding eggs, they hear the Biblical story of Easter in a fun way. We welcome our community to share in the joy of the season.
Summer brings Vacation Bible School. See our site's home page for info about this year's VBS. The theme changes each year, but the Bible lessons and good times are guaranteed. The word about our VBS is getting out into the community and we see lots of familiar faces return each summer, and many bring their friends to share in the message of God’s love.
In the fall we celebrate Halloween in a fun way with “Trunk or Treat.” Church members decorate their vehicles and children enjoy the goodies, games and fun together in a safe environment.
Winter allows us to teach children about the true meaning of Christmas during the Advent season. They enjoy arts and crafts and stories of Jesus’ birth at our annual Advent Workshop.
